The factory in the pulp and paper business employs a starting made of cellulose, known as the pulp. This cellulose-based starter is subjected to numerous chemical treatments, including bleaching, as well as different mechanical processing.

Commercial bleaches can be oxidative, like hypochlorite, or reductive, like sodium borohydride, and are both used to whiten paper. When used with paper cellulose, peroxide bleach or hypochlorite frequently causes an oxidative reaction that, if repeated often enough, can degrade the alloy. The greater nickel and molybdenum concentrations in ASTM B166 UNS N06600 significantly reduce the likelihood that Inconel 600 hex bars will degrade when reductive bleaches are applied. Additionally, the Werkstoff 2.4816 flat bar is a superalloy with a nickel basis that has tungsten added to its chemistry. The considerable tungsten inclusion in Inconel 600 rod is what increases the corrosion resistant qualities under a variety of demanding circumstances.
