The nickel alloys 200 and 201 could have two certifications. Both metals are wrought materials, however their carbon contents differ from one another. Whileastm b160 uns n02201 contains carbon amounting to 0.02%, the former contains about 0.15% carbon in its chemistry. The benefit of using the astm b160 bolt, produced in any of the two alloys is the outstanding level of corrosion resistance to media that contains caustic soda as well as other alkalis.
The performance of an astm b160 threaded rod is best suited to reducing environments. However, when the alloy is exposed to oxidizing conditions, the astm b160 hex boltwill create an oxide passive film on its layer. This passivated oxide layer guards against oxidation's ability to erode the metal. Because of their high degree of ductility, alloys 200 and 201 are simpler to produce. nickel 200 astm b160 bolts or any other fasteners.
Traditional fabrication practices in combination with very good weldability make the astm b160 stud bolt a very valuable addition in several industries. For instance industries such as food processing, chemical and petrochemical processing, aerospace, as well as marine and water treatment applications typically make use of the astm b160 nut bolt. These industries have processes, where the fastener may be exposed to alkalis or alkaline salts, to which the nickel astm b160 offers superior resistance.
