The ASTM B622 Hastelloy Seamless Tubing materials have exceptional resistance to pitting and are typically offered in a solution-annealed state. This descales the pipes frequently. Descaling the ASTM B622 Hastelloy High Pressure Tube is not necessary when a controlled atmosphere is employed, though. This specification, like others for different alloys, calls for compliance with the mechanical properties.
