Grade 5 titanium is one of the most widely used alloys available for titanium. The Titanium Grade 5 Tube is referred to as the work of the industry since it is extremely adaptable and employed in many different industries. In addition to having outstanding formability and low density, titanium grade 5 seamless tube also has good corrosion resistance. The WERKSTOFF NR. 3.7165 Bright Annealed Tubing demonstrates good resistance to seawater and to brine solutions, just like other standard stainless steel alloys.

However, in contrast to those common stainless steel alloys, ASTM B338 Gr 5 Titanium Heat Exchanger Tube provides the buyer with a solution for those uses that particularly call for lighter weight metals. Titanium Gr 5 High Pressure Tube has a substantially lower density even though its strength is practically identical to that of very high quality steel. Because of the metal's decreased weight and lower density, it can be employed in applications that call for lightweight components.

Additionally resistant to aqua regia and applications containing chlorine ions is the R56400 Welded Tubing. The Alloy Gr 5 Seamless Tube is regarded as an alpha beta alloy due to the presence of 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium in its alloy. Utilizing an alpha beta alloy, such as Grade 5 Titanium Tubing, has the benefit of having significantly higher creep strength than commercially pure grades 1 to 4 titanium at high temperatures.

Welding Grade 5 Titanium Tubing

Titanium Grade 5 Tube is a responsive metal that will consume pure oxygen at 600 degrees and nitrogen at about 800 degrees. At temperatures over 400°C, oxygen and nitrogen will also infiltrate into titanium grade 5 tubes, increasing the metal's malleability but brittleness. The filler wire for TIG welding should be degreased as usual, and the cleaned wire should be handled with clean cotton gloves because sweat and oil from the fingers can lead to porosity and local pollution.
