Nitric acid is an example of an oxidising acid that Incoloy 825 can endure. Both ammonium nitrate and calcium ammonium nitrate, which are the starting points for fertilisers, are frequently produced using nitric acid. Thus, the industrial manufacture of nitrate fertilisers may be an application for incoloy 825 pipe. The B423 Inconel 825 Seamless pipe is suitable for applications involving the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel in addition to being employed in a number of chemical processing units.
Additionally, the usage of ASTM B705 Alloy 825 Welded Pipe radioactive waste streams, and nuclear fuel reprocessing are possible because the material does not react to different substances. Nuclear power plants and facilities that handle radioactive materials typically emit a lot of heat energy. However, due to the high nickel content of alloy 825 clad pipes, they have a great impact resistance.
