Dacromet Coated Bolts
Fasteners are coated to enhance their functionality as well as lengthen their lifespan and increase their corrosion resistance. Using dacromet finish bolts in any application is one way to enhance the performance of the fastener. Dacromet is an inorganic substance that is created by melting flakes of zinc and aluminium. Chromate links the flake particles together. Simply because it functions firmly due to its adhesive character, this inorganic finish is recommended by the majority of dacromet coated fasteners suppliers.
Dacromet coated bolts are thought to be the best choice for situations requiring a high level of corrosion resistance. Dacromet coated stud bolts are known to have a thin layer since the finish is an adhesive coating, in terms of their layer thicknesses. This is why the automobile sector uses this coating, especially given that the fastener is utilised to secure a number of components. The coating's strong heat resistance and low friction coefficient are two additional qualities of dacromet-coated screws.
Hydrogen embrittlement does not pose a threat. The chromate zinc flakes are dispersed in an aqueous dip-spin procedure during the dacromet coating process, which is carried out in an aqueous medium. After the coated layer has dried, it is burned at a temperature of 300 °C. Additionally, the Dacromet® Coated Fasteners have an excellent resistance to mechanical harm.
